Alex’s Knee....

Let’s decide to walk to the North Pole...oh, and then let’s find out that one of our team members had rendered his knee as completely useless!

Blizzard on BBC2....

Blizzard is the BBC’s reconstruction of the race to the South Pole, at the North Pole. In the 6 part series Bruce Parry has captained the British team following the historical footsteps of Scott, whilst Rune Gjeldnes lead the Norwegian team in Amundsen’s. Al’s 2nd Knee op....AGAIN!?

So, 9 weeks before the team are due to leave, Al goes back under the knife again..or rather, he allows the surgeon to go nuts with the nasty bone eating device...watch them chew up the inside knee for a second time! This time it’s the ripping out of the bone behind his knee cap! Nice!...just a brief clip for those of you who enjoy this sort of thing!

Norwegian Training....

The lads spent the week of Valentines Day in a tent with each other in Norway. Watch the clip to see them pulk pulling, and listen to commentary from both Em & Al about sleeping in a snow hole & trekking through 40mph winds...just a taster of what they are going to be doing when they head to the Pole!
