Training
400 miles, pulling 100kg’s. Training involves a lot of miles, blisters, & towing tyres.
Sunday 30th July - Summer Tough Guy
We have searched the world amongst military and security forces to find any unit with a more demanding ONE DAY survival training ordeal.  The US Navy S.E.A.L.S. 'Grinder' Assault Course is our nearest rival.  We admire that no S.E.A.L. would ever desert a colleague and that on completion of each endurance discipline they shout 'Hoo-yah', their own unique cry of triumph.  Tough Guy has the Buddy Devotion and now we have our own cry - 'Yohimbe'.  Only on completion of the event will you be told the derivation of the word.
Tough guy is open to individuals and teams. The event is uniquely fear ridden and you need to be fit in both body and spirit to survive the ordeal. You will not be alone, thousands will be by your side. There you will find the true spirit of Tough Guy.

Wednesday November 14th to Sunday November 19th- The Shakespeare Way Walk
This will be our own self imposes “Test” ahead of Christmas. To see whether the training we’ve done over the summer has got us in better shape than when we walked Hadrians Wall at Easter. The Shakespeare Trail walk starts at the Globe theatre in London, and finishes in the Bard’s home town of Stratford-upon-Avon. We will cover close to 150 miles over 5 days. That’s 30 miles a day in what we hope will be foul weather and early evenings. It’s going to be a test!

Preparing to walk 400 miles is a funny one. Anyone can walk. But it’s the stamina that the team have got to build up, and the ability to condition the body into doing it day after day, without being pained too much by blisters & sore tendons. Our training has involved everything from participating in adventure races, to sitting in the tent in the rain.  Our weekend training schedule is detailed below, just to give you an idea of quite what we’ve been doing to get ourselves ready.
